Mike Coogan is the driving force behind NZ Motorcycle Centre, bringing a genuine passion for motorcycles and years of hands-on industry experience to the business. As owner and operator, Mike has built the dealership from the ground up, creating a trusted hub for riders across the Wellington region. With a strong focus on customer service, quality workmanship, and a deep understanding of both road and off-road machines, he takes pride in delivering a personalised experience for every customer. Mike’s commitment to the riding community and his dedication to growing the NZ Motorcycle Centre brand are at the heart of everything the team does.
Owner / OperatorLyn is the friendly face behind our parts and services, keeping everything running smoothly from the front desk to the workshop. Whether you’re booking in a service, chasing parts, or just after some advice, Lyn is always ready to help. With over 30 years of wholesale and retail experience, he brings a wealth of knowledge and a strong understanding of what riders need, while also helping train and support the wider team. His great organisation ensures everything is lined up so the team can deliver a seamless experience. Easy to deal with and always on the ball, Lyn plays a key role in keeping NZ Motorcycle Centre ticking..

Steve is the backbone of the workshop, bringing years of hands-on experience and a real passion for bikes to the team. Leading from the front, he makes sure every job is done right the first time — from tricky diagnostics to full rebuilds. Steve keeps the workshop running smoothly, supports the team, and sets the high standard we’re known for. When your bike’s in his hands, you know it’s getting the care and attention it deserves.

Nicky is our up-and-coming apprentice with a real passion for motorcycles and a strong eagerness to learn. Working alongside the team, they’re building their skills across servicing, repairs, and general workshop tasks. Nicky brings a great attitude, attention to detail, and a willingness to get stuck in — all the makings of a solid mechanic in the future. We’re proud to have them growing as part of the NZ Motorcycle Centre team.
